Blend David

Don David was going through a complete makeover: changes inside, a redefined commercial offer and a new name, Blend David. The mural was the last stage of that process and the first thing the public would see.

The brief was to paint the entire façade —5.5 meters high by 8.5 meters wide, almost 47 m²— and bring to the street a transformation that until then only existed inside the store.

The starting point was the word that names the store: blend. From there came an abstract language built from fluid shapes, spills and organic masses that intertwine, like liquids in motion before they fully mix.

Deep black as the background, supporting the store's night-time presence and making the other colors pop. On top of it, magenta and violet, with yellow as an accent. Three colors on black: enough to make an impact from a distance without overloading the façade.

The mural is built around the sign: the shapes open and close around the logo, letting it breathe at the center. The piece continues under the awning and down to the ground-floor panels, so the whole façade reads as a single work.

Seven working days, coordinated with the reopening schedule. The result established the new name in the public space: today the façade is the brand's main identity asset.
